Question & Answers

How long has Foundation Savers, Inc. been in business?

Foundation Savers was opened in 1989, and incorporated in 1990. It has been
under the same ownership and name since it was started.

How many different solutions do you offer for foundation problems?

We have put together a package of the best products available, and we provide
them at a cost that is affordable for any homeowner. We are, therefore, able to offer the
best solution for your home's foundation because we carry such an extensive product
line.

What is causing cracks on the inside and outside of my home?

The foundation support soil may have movement, allowing the home to settle.

Is this considered structural damage?

Yes, the differential settlement in a brick or rock home causes fractures in the foundation system. This pulls the house out of alignment and causes roof leaks, plumbing leaks, and other major structural problems.

Which pier should I use under my home?

If your home is on loam soil, then typically bell bottom piers are used. If your home is on sandy soil, then use a spread bottom pier. But if your home is on clay soil (which is the most common soil in the Houston area), then definitely use a friction driven pier!

Do you charge for an inspection of my home?

There is no charge for homeowners.

What kind of warranty do you offer?

We offer a lifetime, transferrable warranty on our friction piers.

Do trees affect my house and what can be done to save my trees?

The closer trees are to the home, the more damage they can do. Trees should be located a distance from the house equal to their mature height. Trees can take 100 to 300 plus gallons of water from the soil per day. To save your trees that are too close to your home's foundation, we can install a root barrier. Just call us to find out details.

What radius will you travel to do work?

We work all over the Houston area as well as Southeast Texas, including Dallas/Ft. Worth, Waco, Corpus Christi, San Antonio and College Station. Certainly just give us a call.
